The biggest JKR news this week has to be the news that a Harry Potter theme park is in the works as part of Orlando, Florida’s Universal Studios Theme Park. JKR has said in the past that rumors of a theme park were untrue. I wonder now if that is because a) plans were not yet in the works when she was asked before; or b) if plans had to be kept quiet at the time. I know I want to go. I haven’t read that the park will include a replica of Diagon Alley, which is the first place in the Wizarding World that I’d want to go, but it will include a Hogsmeade, which is good enough.
The cover art for the deluxe edition of DH has also been released. Scholastic allows you to zoom in on features with its magnifying glass. Look for my thoughts on the new cover soon.

I’m working through a re-read of OotP right now, and I wanted to find fan art from a memorable scene in that book. As I wandered around the Internet, I happened upon Jeannine Delleré’s fan art. While this scene is not from OotP, I have to admit I loved the whimsy and color:
